Senior Quantity Surveyor, Falcon 7 Design & Engineering

My passion for construction lies in understanding the financial intelligence behind every structure we build. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, I see construction as a balance between vision, technical execution and commercial discipline. Every building represents a significant investment, and my responsibility is to ensure that investment is carefully managed from the first estimate to the final account.

I bring a meticulous and analytical approach to cost management, measurement, valuation, procurement and commercial control, ensuring that project decisions are supported by accurate information. I believe that good quantity surveying is not simply about calculating costs. It is about understanding the entire project, anticipating financial risks, identifying opportunities for value optimisation and ensuring that resources are directed towards outcomes that genuinely matter to the client.

At Falcon 7, I work closely with the wider design, engineering and construction teams to maintain a clear connection between design intent, quantities, specifications, budgets and actual construction requirements. This collaborative approach allows us to identify cost implications early, manage variations responsibly and support informed decision-making throughout the life of a project.

One of the aspects of my work that I value most is cost certainty. Construction projects can change rapidly, and without disciplined commercial management, small decisions can have significant financial consequences. I therefore place strong emphasis on detailed measurement, accurate pricing, transparent valuations, careful procurement and continuous monitoring of project expenditure.

I am equally committed to ethical procurement and professional integrity. The relationship between a client, contractor, consultant and supplier must be built on trust. I believe every dollar invested in a project should be accounted for transparently and used responsibly. Protecting the client's interests while ensuring that contractors and suppliers are treated fairly is fundamental to creating successful and sustainable projects.

For me, the greatest satisfaction comes when the numbers translate into something tangible. Seeing a carefully prepared cost plan become a completed structure, knowing that resources were managed responsibly and that the client received genuine value from their investment, is what makes the profession meaningful to me.

At Falcon 7, I am committed to strengthening the commercial foundations behind the next generation of construction. Through rigorous cost management, ethical procurement and strategic commercial thinking, I help ensure that ambitious architectural and engineering visions can be delivered without losing sight of value, quality or financial sustainability.

“Every structure has a cost, but true value is measured by what we achieve with every dollar invested.”
